Frequently asked questions

Does it cost anything?

No. The café is free and so is membership. There's no fee, no dues, and nothing to buy.

Do I have to be sober to come in?

Members commit to being drug and alcohol free in the café space. That's the whole rule, and it's there so the room is safe for everyone in it. People join us at every stage, including their first week.

Do I have to be religious?

No. The first guiding principle speaks of Love with a capital L, and people here read that their own way. Your faith, background, and beliefs don't change your welcome. Nobody will ask what you believe.

What if I relapse?

Come back. You're still welcome in our Circle. Relapse is part of many people's path, and it doesn't end your membership.

Can I just come and sit?

Yes. Coffee, cards, and company are on the table every open day, Tuesdays especially. You don't have to join anything to sit with us, and you're welcome to stay the whole afternoon.

What happens at a Recovery Circle?

A small group that meets every week, led by people in recovery. You're known by name, you hear honest feedback, and someone notices when you're not there. Nobody comes here to fix anybody. We come to sit with each other.

Come to a New Member Intro.

1:15 PM, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Park at the rear and ring the bell.
